Finally, we are at the airport waiting to board for our flight to London. It has been a hectic few months, but this last week has been crazy. Last minute hiccups with some Olympic tickets not arriving on time, still trying to swap tickets and arrange tickets for others, trying to pack, work has been flat out and on top of that our new house is underway.
Talked to Casey last night, the players are much the same, running around with last minute arrangements before they leave on Monday. All the girls are very excited and touch wood they will all arrive in London in good shape.
The other parents we have spoken to are also very excited, they will all start to arrive over the next week, it will be good to catch up with those we haven’t seen for a while.
Now it becomes a anxious wait until the girls play their first game, we probably won’t get to see them before the games start, if we do it won’t be for long, so the main contact will be through phone and email, just a bit hard to give them a hug when they need it.
The supporters group will also be up’to’the challenge, look for the green and gold wigs in the crowd and listen for the songs and chants. Our next blog will be from Ireland as we spend a few days travelling around before we go to London, should be fun.
