Being healthy and having fun is an important focus for the 2010 Pan Pacific Masters Games and the free Health and Leisure Expo run in conjunction with the Games proves exactly that.
The Expo will be a real social highlight for not only the 10,000+ competitors at the Pan Pacs, but also the general public who are invited down to check out the exhibits. It will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre – the official ‘Games Village’ – on Thursday, 4 November from 4pm to 8pm, Friday, 5 November from 8am to 8pm, Saturday, 6 November from 7am to 6pm and Sunday 7 November from 8am to 6pm.
Queensland Events Gold Coast General Manager Cameron Hart said the Expo is free for all Games participants and the general public.
“The focus on the Games is very much on health, fitness and well-being, and all our exhibitors will be promoting and showcasing these healthy lifestyle factors,” he said.
“Participants can gain knowledge on how to perform at their peak, which will definitely come in handy throughout the competition. And it’s a great opportunity to discover new products and try out the latest equipment.
“We have run this Expo alongside the Masters Games for years now and it’s proven itself to be a popular event that showcases the latest in health, fitness and leisure trends.”
The comprehensive expo will feature exhibits from the 13th Australian Masters Games, 2XU Performance Centre Brisbane, Lismore Masters Games, Mongolian Koyashai Therapy, New Zealand Masters Games, Power Balance Australia, Masters Athlete and The Running Shop to name a few.
The Pan Pacific Masters Games will run on the Gold Coast from 6–14 November 2010 and features 34 different sports as well as an action packed nightly entertainment schedule.
